Who are you?

Will and Leo here - we're the co-founders of tokimonki!

Done right, language exchange has been a powerful way for us to improve our Mandarin and English, while also giving us a broader perspective on the world. We want to share our version of language exchange with you!

Is it really free?

Yep! Completely free, no strings attached.

But why? Well, we're trying to build a language exchange platform that actually works. Unlike Hellotalk or MyLanguage Exchange, this means you don't have to:

Waste hours sifting through "casual" users who either ghost you after 2 messages, or are more interested in finding romance than actually trying to learn a language.

Stressing over how to make your exchanges effective…

To achieve this, we're running some free exchange sessions to build a community of first believers.

How is tokimonki different?

We are a community only for serious language learners, and your support enables this to become a reality.

Our mission is to make sure that language exchange isn't just some casual social activity, but a seriously effective and fun way to learn languages.

Learning tools such as AI and flash cards to enable spaced repetition and close the learning loop.

We enforce a serious learning culture on tokimonki through rating systems. Be here to learn, or be on your way out.
